Estimation of Wheelset Natural Vibration Characteristics Based on Transfer Matrix Method with Various Elastic Beam Models

چکیده

The elastic vibration of the wheelset is a potential factor inducing wheel-rail defects. It important to understand natural characteristics flexible for slowing down defect growth. To estimate free railway with multidiameter axle, transfer matrix method (TMM) applied. matrices four types beam models are derived including Euler–Bernoulli beam, Timoshenko without mass and shearing stiffness, massless stiffness. For each type, simplified model detailed developed. Both bending torsional modes compared that finite element (FE) model. modes, if wheel axle modelled as frequencies can be reflected accurately, especially latter one. Due lower solving accuracy, not applicable analysis wheelset. increase dividing segment number helpful improve modal while computation effort almost kept in same level. mode, it mainly depends on stiffness inertia rather than inertia.
